The Day Counter is a free online tool that calculates the exact number of days between any two dates. It counts total calendar days, business days (Monday to Friday), and weekend days (Saturday and Sunday) simultaneously — all in one click. Whether you need to track a project deadline, count down to a holiday, calculate how many working days are left in a quarter, or figure out how long ago an event occurred, this tool delivers precise results instantly. How to Use the Day Counter

Formula Used
Business Days = Total Days − Weekend Days
Weekend Days = count of Saturdays and Sundays in the range
With "Include end day": Total Days = Total Days + 1
Example: From 1 Jan 2025 to 31 Jan 2025 = 30 calendar days, 22 business days, 8 weekend days.

How many days are between two dates?

What is the difference between calendar days and business days?
Calendar days count every day (including weekends), while business days only count Monday through Friday. For a one-week period, calendar days = 7, business days = 5.
How do I count days from today to a future date?
Click the Today button to set the start date to today, enter your future target date as the end date, then click Calculate Days to see exactly how many days remain.
Does the day counter include the start and end dates?
By default, it excludes the start date and includes the end date (standard date difference). Tick "Include end day (+1)" to count both endpoints for scenarios like contract durations or inclusive date ranges.
